HBRs Brick is enjoying a stroll with the family this evening Brick is currently looking for a new set of wheels to help him stay mobile. If you have a wheelchair that you could donate, we would greatly appreciate it. Brick is 9 and 34kgs. His back end suffers mobility issues and a wheelchair would help him independently keep up with his active foster family. Brick is located just outside of Barrie, but our transport team can pick up from nearly anywhere! Please email [email protected] if you can help.
WELCOME BILLY
WELCOME BILLY Billy is a very special welcome. You see, Billy was left at a shelter by his owner at 9 years old. The new girlfriend was allergic. Sweet Billy was not only left behind, but he was left behind with a grade 3 heart murmur and enlarged heart HBRs Intake Team worked quickly to make sure Billy’s final days were full of love. Super foster mom Rita and son Michael will be Billy’s angels, his permanent palliative foster home. We don’t know if Billy will have weeks or months left on this earth, but we will make sure he is loved and safe. While Billy is not showing any signs of his heart disease yet, he will need to be put on medication for his heart within the next week or so. If you are able to donate to Billy’s ongoing medical care, we would all appreciate it. You can donate directly at www.canadahelps.org or check out our website www.homewardboundrescue.ca for other ways to help. THANK YOU to the incredibly reliable transport team at Freedom Drivers: Animal Rescue Transports for safely getting Billy to his foster home.
