HAPPY TAILS: POPPY
HAPPY TAILS: POPPY aka Poppy Pig or Poppy a Go Go, Poppers!!!! Tammy adopted Poppy from HBR just over a year ago! As she celebrates her first Gotcha Day with our amazing HBR President and her family, we checked in to see just how well Poppy is fitting in! Tammy provided the following update: “Poppy is full of energy, she LOVES BALLS!! she will bring them home if we find one on our walk ( sorry to all the small children that are missing balls) . Poppy also loves her sister Paizley ( also from HBR) ! Poppy loves fruit and no smoothie can be made without sharing . Poppy also goes to doggy daycare once per week and is so happy to meet new friends!Poppy was fostered with two fosters and three human kids- funny enough Poppy thinks she is a boxer and rough houses like one ( she does not seem like a bulldog) and if we are walking she pulls to see all the kids! Poppy is also a lifeguard and will jump into the pool to “save her Dad” however she is a sinker not a swimmer so a lifejacket was quickly purchased for her! We have had no issues with Poppy at all as she had the most amazing foster family, her sister Paizley is quite smitten with her however her fur brother Eddie would be happy if she went back to her foster home.”When asked for some words of wisdom for potential adopters, Tammy said: “Talk to the foster family and find out as much as you can about the routine of the dog, and remember the 3-3-3 rule. It really takes three months for the adopted dog to feel comfortable and trust you. I am so thankful to HBR for allowing me to have Poppy as part of our family, she is definitely a character!”We are so happy to hear just how amazing Poppy is fitting in with her forever family! Thank you for choosing adoption!
